Guam Receivership
In March 2008 the U.S. District Court of Guam appointed GBB as Receiver of a solid waste system out of compliance for 22 years. Over an 11-year receivership GBB closed the Ordot Dump, opened the Layon Landfill, launched cart-based collection and island-wide recycling, and returned a self-financing authority to the Government of Guam.
