Full Cost Accounting and Activity Based Costing Software Implementation

For the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County, GBB evaluated the use of Business Intelligence software and the more scalable Activity Based Costing software solutions from leading vendors worldwide. As Metro intended to use the software implementation in the Division of Waste Management as a pilot for implementing Metro-wide and because Metro wanted the more in-depth analysis and performance measurement of Activity Based Costing and Management, GBB advised the client and assisted in the procurement of Activity Based Costing software. GBB was successful in assisting Metro to reduce implementation costs by more than half by increasing the responsibilities of Metro and coordinating preparation for the software implementation. The result of this implementation is that managers have significantly enhanced access to data on the costs of their services and the activities that comprise these services.
