Minstrell Joins GBB as Project Manager
(Fairfax, VA – June
15, 2007) - Gershman, Brickner & Bratton,
Inc. (GBB) is pleased to announce that Michelle Minstrell
has joined the firm as Project Manager. Ms. Minstrell has
over 12 years of professional experience in recycling and
solid waste management and a total of more than 23 years
of community involvement in recycling.
She has worked in the public sector
for town and county governments and educational institutions,
for non-profit organizations, as well as in the private
sector. Her
expertise includes landfills, transfer stations, construction
waste, commercial/institutional waste, universal/special
waste, special collection events, materials marketing, crew
training, and hauling operations. She is a respected
source for construction waste recycling and reuse opportunities.

Ms. Minstrell, who is based at GBB’s headquarters
in Fairfax, Virginia, has experience that spans the country,
working with projects and positions in Washington State and
North Carolina. Additionally, she has surveyed solid
waste and recycling operations on her international travels
to countries such as Australia and Japan.
She is active in local, state, and
national recycling and solid waste associations serving
on the Washington State Recycling Association and Carolina
Recycling Association conference committees, holding the
Carolina Green Building Council Chair position, and assisting
with production of the National Recycling Coalition annual
congress daily newsletter. She
has participated as a speaker, moderator, and reporter for
many recycling and solid waste conferences, meetings, and
presentations.

Prior to joining GBB, Ms. Minstrell was Recycling Specialist
for the Town of Chapel Hill, NC; Recycling/Solid Waste Manager
for North Carolina State University; Universal Waste Recycling
Specialist for EcoLights Northwest/Total Reclaim; and Assistant
Market Manager for TrashBusters of Washington. She also served
as Personnel Manager for the Mercer Island High School community
recycling center, Student Representative on Recycling Committee
and Recycling Assistant for The Evergreen State College,
and volunteered as Waste Sort Captain and Master Recycler
for the City of Olympia and Thurston County.
