GBB Makes Guam Team Feel at Home at 2008 Little League World Series
Representatives from GBB were in the stands cheering for the team representing Southern Guam Little League from Yona during the 2008 Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, PA, which was held August 15- 24, 2008. A banner supporting the team and cheering GBB employees/friends contributed to helping the Guam team feel at home during the 62nd edition of the famed tournament for 11-12-year-olds, which features 16 teams from around the world.

The Guam team, the Asia-Pacific Region Champion, ended the tournament with a 1-2 record, and, most importantly, got the opportunity to play in a major baseball tournament against the elite players in their age group. GBB's cheering in the stands wasn't enough to help them to more victories, but we hope that we contributed in making the team feel at home and welcomed during this trek all the way to Pennsylvania.
Congratulations to the Guam team for making it to the Little League World Series and going 1-2!

On March 17, 2008, the Honorable Frances Tydingco-Gatewood, Chief Judge of the United States District Court of Guam, issued a court order appointing GBB as Receiver to achieve the Guam Government’s compliance with the Clean Water Act as set forth in a Consent Decree. After a comprehensive review of Court records and Department of Public Works documents, the Receiver team began on-the-ground operations in Guam in April 2008, which will continue without interruption until full compliance with the Consent Decree is achieved.
