is seeking the services of a Senior Project Manager
with a strong collection experience/background
to meet the growing needs of its clients. This
is an opportunity to participate in GBB’s

Requirements:
- Experience:
10+ years experience in Solid Waste Management
industry. Experience setting up collection
services required.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree and graduate degree or course
work in a related field. Experience
may be substituted for educational requirements.
- Background in management for a hauling company
- Strong solid waste and recycling collection
experience/background.
- Must have an established set of professional
contacts in the field consisting of both public
and private industry.
- Must demonstrate written and oral communication
skills necessary to perform assignments.
- Candidate in mid-Atlantic area or willing
to move
Job Description:
Provide project management services using a high
level of technical knowledge and competence
to ensure client satisfaction and company profitability. Assume
responsibility for the planning and execution
of all aspects of projects managed. Manage,
with a high degree of independence, multiple
projects, critical projects, and complex projects. Develop
a marketing base and/or network of contacts
important to expanding company business.

Consultant
GBB is seeking
to add a full-time consultant to work in
our Fairfax, VA, office. Perform work assignments,
such as Internet research, data collection
analyses, report preparation, and/or marketing
activities, as directed by project manager
or supervisor.

Education:
Bachelor's degree or course work in solid
waste management or environmental science-related
field preferred.

Experience:
One to five years of solid waste/environmental
experience preferred, but will consider
less.

Must
demonstrate written and oral communication
skills necessary to perform assignments
and be proficient with Microsoft products,
i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Ability
to travel or work off-site, as needed,
to perform assignments.

Summer
Internship in Solid Waste Management Consulting
Every summer, GBB
offers a full-time summer intern position.
The internship is a paid position. Wages are
to be determined upon candidate selection. The
scope of the position includes both providing
administrative support and performing solid waste
management and recycling research for various
projects at GBB. This gives a college student
the opportunity to get acquainted with the solid
waste management industry, further knowledge
in the environmental field, and work with senior
consultants who are industry leaders.
As solid waste
management consultants, GBB assists clients with
collection, recycling, processing, waste to energy,
and landfill needs, etc. GBB may do a strategic
review of their systems, prepare a solid waste
management or recycling plan or feasibility study,
or assist in procurement of facilities and/or
services by preparing a Request for Proposals
and reviewing proposals, preparing evaluation
reports, assisting in contract negotiations,
etc.
The
intern assists project managers with this
work. The intern may assist with internet research,
PowerPoint presentations, database support using
Excel, report preparation using Microsoft Word,
and other administrative tasks. GBB has a staff
of friendly, knowledgeable people who will guide
and direct the intern every step of the way.
